Anxiety, Depression, and Stress Support

It’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed at times. We live in a fast-paced, often stressful world, and sometimes the pressure can become too much. When that happens, it’s not uncommon to feel increasingly anxious or depressed. If you’re feeling weighed down by the challenges you’re facing, individual counselling can provide a supportive space to explore what’s going on and develop practical strategies to cope and move forward. Depending on the complexity of your situation and your personal goals, counselling may take just a few sessions or become a longer, more in-depth journey.

Neurodivergence Support

Does it ever feel like you or your child just don’t “fit in”? Do things that seem to come easily for others feel more difficult or overwhelming? Perhaps there’s a diagnosis of Autism or ADHD, or maybe just a growing sense that something doesn’t quite align. Neurodivergence is more common than once believed, and emerging research highlights how high-masking and internalized presentations of ADHD and Autism can contribute to challenges that were previously dismissed, misunderstood, or misattributed to other conditions. Our sessions will offer a space to explore how neurodivergence impacts you and your family, with a focus on increasing understanding and identifying ways to leverage the strengths and manage the difficulties more effectively.

Perinatal Support

No one told you how hard it would be. You thought becoming a parent would be beautiful, and it is, but it doesn’t always feel that way. The ways it can be hard are many, and can include infertility, pregnancy loss, health concerns, challenges with labour and delivery, difficulties adjusting to parenthood, perinatal mental health difficulties such as postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety, and struggles figuring out how to balance it all and be the parent you want to be. There are so many changes and so much pressure, it’s no wonder so many new parents struggle. In our sessions we’ll work together to find ways to cope with the hard parts and strengthen the good parts on your perinatal journey.

Parenting Support

Being a parent is such a difficult job. As a mom of two, I have first-hand experience with both the highs and the lows of parenting. While we know there is no manual, we often still seek out information in hopes that we will find the answers. The abundance of information that can so easily be accessed online often leaves us feeling even more confused and overwhelmed than when we started. Parenting is hard because we are all unique, and no one way of experiencing parenting is right. Parent support involves sessions with one or both parents to determine the goals, what might be getting in the way of achieving these goals, and finding a path that feels like a fit for you and your family. All plans build on your strengths, skills, values, and hopes, and are tailored to your unique family needs.
